Hartley’s and the Environment

JEH farms have planted approximately 30,000 trees and cultivated hundreds of metres of hedgerow to actively encourage the wildlife population.

Our factory has a pro-active recycling policy which ensures that all waste paper, card and wood is appropriately recycled.

Working closely with our neighbouring farmers, we reintroduce the unused parts of the vegetables, back into the farm cycle as animal feed or to nourish the soil.

The JEH factory works closely with the Carbon Trust to achieve year on year reductions in fuel and electricity consumption.
